"It was a great experience working with the team at Terabyte in designing and building our new website. Terabyte's experience in the tourism industry made it possible for them to create an amazing website for us. We are looking forward to working with Terabyte on future projects."Angelo Coonghe, ICT Manager
A comprehensive Discovery session was set up which included key stakeholders from all areas of the business. This session informed the design of a clear and streamlined information architecture, simplifying the user journey and booking process - and adding a few new sections to ensure the visitor has access to as much information as possible when they hit the site.
Built in Wordpress, we integrated the Staah booking platform, giving top priority to ensuring the user experience was consistent across both platforms. No longer do users feel they have "left the site", landing on a page which looks entirely unfamiliar: now, the user is confident they're in the right place when booking, creating a seamless experience. An intuitive "conditional logic" form has been used for more general enquiries.
The site is now mobile responsive and clearly showcases the hotels' excellent accommodation and facilities. The refreshed design includes clear calls to action (sidebar contact forms, click to call) which are present throughout. Content was given a fresh tone, reflecting the friendly, community feel of the business whilst continuing to reflect its status as one of New Zealands' largest conference facilities.
Mindful of ensuring SEO was not negatively affected, we worked closely with the Waipuna Team and our friends at This Side Up to provide keyword research and optimise meta data, avoiding any drop-off in search rankings.
Our favourite thing is continuing to work with our clients post go-live, and we're certainly doing that with these guys. Watch this space for news on our latest project with the Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre!
